DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday\, August 15\, for Mebane's Musical Chairs Concert Series featuring Moxie. Moxie is a North Carolina band based in Greensboro/Winston-Salem that plays the best of classic soul\, R&B\, and funk music from the '60s\, '70s\, and '80s. If you like artists like Aretha Franklin\, Gladys Knight\, Stevie Wonder\, and Tina Turner\, Moxie is the band for you. Our playlist is packed with songs that people know and can sing along with\, and it keeps people on the dance floor having a good time all night. Featuring a high-energy rhythm section\, tight vocal harmonies\, and Sonni Wright's expressive voice\, Moxie's sound combines a funky groove with soulful warmth to produce danceable music that delights audiences throughout the Triad region and beyond. \n \nMebane's Musical Chairs is a FREE summer concert series in Downtown Mebane that runs from May to August on the third Friday of the month. This event is in partnership with the Mebane Business Association. The event begins at 7 p.m. and typically ends at 9 p.m. All attendees are encouraged to bring chairs\, and all concerts occur on 4th St.\, between Clay St. and Route 70.
