Kingsdown, a mattress manufacturer known for its high-quality mattresses, helped establish the Mebane community, tracing its roots back to 1904. Since then, Mebane has become the headquarters or central production hub for many world-renowned companies such as Sandvik Coromant, Revere Copper, and Morinaga America Foods, Inc., which produces the highly popular and beloved Japanese candy “Hi-Chew.” Mebane is also proud to house production facilities such as Lotus Bakeries, which makes Europe’s favorite cookie with coffee, Biscoff cookies!
Aside from the community’s three booming industrial parks, Mebane has a unique downtown that fosters a positively charming experience and is home to many festivals year-round. Gather with friends and family, enjoy some live music, and sip and stroll through downtown in the City’s social district. You can also access the Mountains-to-Sea Trail, which spans 1175 miles across North Carolina.
